Features and Functions
This feature is extremely important in applications which require consistently high accuracy under conditions which may allow undetected temperature changes or long periods between calibrations to affect scale accuracy. The feature is very valuable in those instances where several users share a common scale and the calibration record can become confusing. These scales have an appropriate internal calibration weight which is used in an automatic calibration sequence whenever the scale detects; A.) a temperature change beyond a user programmed value, or B.) passage of a user programmed time interval. The user has the option of changing the feature from fully automatic to manual push button control, as desired.
The AGC Series scales are equipped with a large 7-segment LCD display which ensures excellent visibility of weighing results. The display features many indicators which make the scale intuitive and easy-to-use.
A programmable RS232 communication port is standard on all scales. The port allows transferring data to a printer or a PC. Under the control of Torbal™ Communication Software, data may be exported to standard word processing and spreadsheet programs
The die-cast metal base uses a tripod support system which consists of two adjustable legs and one fixed leg. Combined with an accurate bubble level indicator, the system ensures fast, accurate, and easy leveling
The Torbal AGC scale has a robust die cast metal housing making it ideal for applications in tough environments. This rugged design provides a stable weighing platform and guarantees long operating life of the scale.
All scales are equipped with a used-capacity-indicator which shows the amount of the scale's capacity used during weighing. It allows the user to avoid exceeding the maximum capacity of the scale. The indicator is particularly useful in functions such as "Totalizing" where large amounts of tares are likely to be taken.
All Torbal digital scales have a sealed front panel which protects the keys and the LCD display from dust and accidental spills. With logically grouped keys, the panel is simple, concise and intuitive..
The draft ring is standard on all AGC models with a resolution of 0.001g (AGC100, AGC200, AGC300, AGC500). Its unique design around the pan minimizes the need for a windscreen in environments with common air movements. The draft ring provides full access to the pan while maintaining stability during weighing. Note: When using the scale in drafty environments use a Windscreen Cover Part No. AD9120
This feature allows the user to print a record of a performed transaction. The printed record indicates GLP data which including the Model Number, Unit ID, User ID and a Project Number. In addition to the weighing result the receipt also contains information associated with the function in use such as, average weight time, average piece weights, reference weights, and weight limits.

Modes
The scale's basic weighing function is fast, accurate and easy to use. Basic weighing operates with nine weighing units, and the function is equipped with all essential features such as the Initial Zero as well as the Automatic Zero Setting Mechanisms. The NET indicator lets the user identify that a Tare has been taken while the capacity indicator assist the user in performing weighing operations. Printed weighing results include GLP data as well as the date and time.
The AGC Series Parts Counting Mode provides the user with an easy to use, yet comprehensive, capability for counting parts based upon weight. The counting feature is designed in the form of a short wizard which leads the user step by step through the procedure. Repetitive counting using the same average piece weight is especially simple and fast. The user is offered a choice of sample sizes ranging from 1 to 100 when establishing a new average piece weight. The feature is very user-friendly with the counting process usually taking only a few seconds to complete.
The AGC Series Animal Weighing Mode provides the user with a fast, flexible, and easy to use capability for weighing live animals or other dynamic loads. A choice of 3 different operating modes and 4 different weight integration periods ensures the user the best results in the least amount of time per measurement. Repetitive weighing is simple and fast, especially in the Automatic Mode where animal weighing is initialized automatically and the scale performs an auto-tare as well as clears the result automatically between each weighing.
The AGC Series Chech Weighing Mode provides the user an easily programmed, fast, and flexible way to check-weigh items. The user has the option of using previously stored Upper and Lower limits or setting a new limit range. Repetitive Check Weighing using the same Limits requires no intervention, simply place the unknown on the pan and read the displayed result which is expressed ad UNDER, OVER and ACCEPT.
The AGC Series Display Hold Mode provides the user with alternative ways of locking weighing results on the display. The weighing result remains locked on the display until cleared. The function works in three operating modes: automatic, semi-automatic, and manual. In the automatic mode the weighing result is locked automatically with the highest stable weight, the scale also performs an auto-tare and clears the function.
The AGC Series Percent Weighing Application provides the user an easy to use, flexible, and fast way to establish the relative weight of an unknown compared to that of a stored sample and expressed as a percentage. The user may opt for a stored sample weight or, with on screen guidance, establish a new sample weight. Repetitive Percent Weighing using the same Sample Weight requires no further intervention, simply place the unknown weight on the pan and its weight expressed as a percent of the Sample weight appears on the display.
The AGC Series Totalizing Mode provides the user with a simply to use, fast and easy way to perform functions which require the summation of sequential weights, like compounding. The user may view a running sub-total at any point in the process, as well as, the grand total at the end of the weighing sequence. The weighing sequence is very rapid in the Automatic Mode as weighing results are automatically added to the grand total
